Pricing & Fees

Twisted Sunset Sisters Fiber Mill comes from the local fiber community. We’ve worked with raw fleeces by hand, we know what yarn works best for what products, and we know how colors and techniques can affect the overall outcome of a project. This hands-on experience gives us unique insight that we can use to guide other small-scale producers into selecting a product that will be useful to your business plans and marketable to your area. Additionally, by offering different services and add-ons, we can be assured to find a price point that will meet a small-scale farmer’s budget. If you have any questions about our pricing or the services we offer, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to assist you!

What Products Can Be Made?

2024 ESTIMATE PRICING SHEET

These prices are estimates and are subject to change without notice.

A Note on Weight:

In the price sheet above, you’ll notice that many services are charged by weight. For wool, we will use the post-wash weight of the fiber to determine your costs (this ensures that you aren’t charged for the weight of the heavy lanolin present in the wool)!

For all other fiber, we will use the incoming weight to determine your costs, as fiber without lanolin will not lose a significant amount of weight during washing.

Mill Policies:

Twisted Sunset Sisters (TSS) reserves the right to refuse any fleece. Reasons for refusal may include (but are not limited to) the presence of mold or evidence of insects.

TSS expects customers to be operating on a payment system of ½ down payment with delivery of the fiber to TSS (customer pays shipping or arranges to drop fiber off at the mill), and ½ remaining payment upon completion of the products and prior to shipping (TSS charges standard shipping unless the farm indicates they’d like to pick up their order at the mill).

Estimates are valid for 30 days upon receipt – unpaid estimates will be canceled after 30 days, after which customers must contact us again to create a new estimate.

Payment will be accepted in the form of cash, check, or credit card. In the event a customer pays via check, the finished products will not be delivered until TSS has received confirmation that the check has cleared.

If an order is received without down payment, the customer will have 60 days to submit payment or the raw fiber will become property of the Twisted Sunset Sisters. If an order is not paid for within 60 days of completion, the order becomes the property of the Twisted Sunset Sisters and will be sold.
